Over the past 6-12 months, there has been plenty of bad news and projections of gloom and doom in the economy in general and real estate in particular. 

While we likely have not put all the challenges to come behind us, we have been saying for some time now that we believe we have reached the bottom of the current real estate downturn in Rutherford County.  Here is a story hinting that the economy is showing signs that it is not quite as bad as the pundits have been saying.

How long we will stay at the bottom of this cycle depends upon many factors, including how quickly our excess listing inventory is sold off; the rate at which people continue to move into Rutherford County; and the impact of any government intervention into the economy or real estate markets.  But, we feel confident in saying that the Rutherford County real estate market remains strong and will only get better from here.
